SSC Grading System

SSC (Secondary School Certificate) is a 10th-grade education level in Bangladesh. The grading system for SSC results uses GPA, which depends on the marks or points obtained in all subjects.

SSC GPA Calculation Formula

SSC Result GPA Calculate over ten subjects. Let’s know the GPA Calculation process.

If there is a total of 10 subjects, then the calculation process will be as follows:

4 Compulsory Subject + 5 Elective Subject + 1 4th Subject = 10 Subject

First, sum all 4 + 5 =9 Subject Grade points and add optional points in sum with minus two from optional Grade.

Now Divide the Total points with 9

You got your SSC GPA on a scale of 5.00

How to calculate SSC GPA

Step 1:  Select Group

First, select your SSC group from Science, Business, and Humanities. There are three groups: Science, Business (also known as Commerce), and Humanities (also known as Arts). After selecting your group, you can choose your subjects based on your selected group. Each group has different subjects.

Step 2:  Select Subjects

After choosing a group, you must select the subjects corresponding to your chosen group. By default, you will see the subjects for each group and can make changes using the dropdown menu for each subject. The 4th subject is the final one, and there is a level before the 4th subject to help with your understanding.

Step 3:  Select Grades

After selecting subjects, you need to choose the grade for each subject. The SSC grades are A+, A, A-, B, C, D, and F. You can refer to the table above for details on the SSC Grading system, which explains how obtained marks correspond to grades and points. Make sure to select the grades for all subjects.

Step 4:  Calculate GPA

At the final step, click the “Calculate GPA” button. If you have correctly selected your subjects and grades, you will receive your GPA. The SSC GPA is measured on a scale of GPA 5.0, where 5.0 is the highest GPA achievable.

If you have chosen a subject twice, you will see a warning popup and need help to select a topic twice. Also, if you missed picking a subject grade, you will see a warning popup that you have yet to assign grades for all subjects.
